Jacob's persuasive writing
All students should not have tablet or a laptop
All students should not have a tablet or a laptop at school
Most people’s opinion is that all students should have a tablet at school. In my opinion, I think tablets and laptops should be not compulsory at school, here are some reasons that will change your opinion.
Students don't need tablets and laptops at school because most students at home spend a lot of hours on devices at home, and it good to socialize at school and good to make friends. When you spend a lot of time on devices you can get lazy and it is enjoyable to go out on your bike or do something outside.
Most kids have bad handwriting at school and it can teach bad habits and if you write in your book you can help you write words that you have trouble writing and its good skill to know how to use a dictionary. When you start writing on your computer you have to worry about how much charge, was when you can just get your book out and start writing.
When you are on your devices you can easily get off task and it is hard to control what you do online and you can search inappropriate stuff online and you can send bad emails to people. People can not afford 3 to 4 kids to get a laptop or a tablet for school.
In my opinion, I think that laptop and tablets should not compulsory at school hopefully I have changed your opinion towards laptops at school. Do you have a computer or a tablet and why?

Rhea's technology
Technology
All throughout this year, we have been doing technology. Technology is something we do weekly and we go to grey high school and do it. So this year there are 3 classes, Woodwork, Cooking and digital technology. This is also the order I do my classes in. Since we are in term 2 I am in cooking, We have made a variety of things such as chicken stir fry with noodles, Apple skewers and scones. All have been very yummy and I have taken them home and my family have loved them too. I think technology is very cool and it has taught me a lot about how to make your own food and wood stuff.

Payton's Wellington Camp Reflection
Wellington Camp
This year for camp year six and sevens got to go to Wellington. At Wellington, The most memorable moments Was The Adrenaline Forest and H2O extreme. At Adrenalin Forest, We had levels 1,2,3a,3b,3c,4,5 & 6 it was funny because there was a height bar we all got over except Brayden Jacob Miro and Cater. The fun but challenging bit was the poles that were hanging like 5 stories up and kept swinging side to side. It was fun and challenging at the same time we only got up to level 4 because we ran out of time. Same with the H2O extreme there was a wave pool it was amazing it was connected to a lazy river that had three hydro slides around it. The camp was amazing we went to Te Papa, the Beehive, rock climbing and more. in conclusion, the camp was the good well the food wasn't the best but mostly rice and buttered chicken which is good

Natasha's rafting reflection
Rafting Reflection
The 13 year 8s went rafting on 15/5/19. I found it really fun, I got to learn new things, be in the outdoors. I found it quite easy, to be honest (My friend Sinead can’t say the same though). I loved going over all the big waves and rapids and having the adrenaline rush through me, I guess you could say that I really enjoy being in those situations. I also believe that my raft was the best because we had mixed boys and girls raft of only four people(not including the instructor, Jasper) so we got to build our teamwork skills, and Jasper let us go over all the big waves and rapids. Sinead and I were in the middle of the raft while Xavier and Jeordie were in front and Jasper was at the back steering. When the water was calm some people decided to jump onto each other's rafts, others practically jumped in the water. Unfortunately, Jeordie jumped in at the wrong time and went swimming with a dead cow. Overall, it was a great trip and I can’t wait for the next challenge!
